Tours Available
Thiessen Orchards would like to invite your school group for an educational tour about apples or pumpkins. All of our tours are designed to meet grade specific curriculum requirements and offer a hands-on interactive experience!

Understanding exploration of living things:
Through a “hands-on” approach to the natural world students will learn to care for plants and their growth, view and explore the orchard and pumpkin patch, and enjoy new experiences while having FUN at the same time!
Grade 1-3
Understanding Life Systems:
Students will learn needs and characteristics of living things, study the apple tree, pumpkin plant, air, water, soil and food to help living things grow, changes in the plant as they thrive, and the importance of the bee in the pollination of flowers.
Apple Tour
MID-SEPT. to LATE OCT.
$10 fee includes:
- Interactive grade specific curriculum learning
- Wagon ride in the orchard
- Students will have the experience to pick their own apples
- Picnic Area available for lunch
- Access to Farmer Pete’s Fun Acre, Hay Mow and Corn Maze
- Teacher and chaperones will pick a bag of delicious tree ripened apples (GREAT for baking & eating!)
- Spookley educational storybook walk
Pumpkin Tour
MID-SEPT. to LATE OCT.
$10 fee includes:
- Interactive grade specific curriculum learning
- Wagon ride to the pumpkin patch
- Access to Farmer Pete’s Fun Acre, Hay Mow and Corn Maze
- Mini pumpkin or gourd for each student
- Large pumpkin for each class (we make this fun by doing a pumpkin picking contest amongst teachers!)
- Picnic Area available for lunch
- Spookley educational storybook walk
